**LOS ANGELES** — The next "American Idol" has been crowned following a unique season finale that aired Sunday on ABC.
This season concluded with a bang, marking Katy Perry's final appearance at the judge's table.
The three remaining contestants—Will Moseley, Jack Blocker, and Abi Carter—vied for America's votes one last time during a star-studded finale.

Judges Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan watched the contestants improve week after week and were proud to see the trio in the finale.
Jon Bon Jovi mentored the three singers, and the episode featured guest performances by Bon Jovi, Nick Fradiani, Jason Mraz, New Kids on the Block, Hootie & The Blowfish, Cece Winans, Wynonna Judd, James Bay, Cody Johnson, Seal, and Bishop Briggs. Previous "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino also appeared, delivering an inspiring message to the finalists.
During one performance, Perry wore a dress adorned with the faces of contestants from all seven of her seasons.
